Qantas will increase the change fee applicable as follows:

How is the change fee applied to Qantas International tickets issued on/before 27 April 2017?

For a change on an International ticket; the change flight fee charged is the fee that was applicable on the date of original ticket issue. For example, an Economy Sale ticket issued on 1January 2017 and changed on 28 April 2017, the change fee charged is the historical change fee in effect at the date of original ticket issue.

Why are the international flight change fees being increased?

Qantas continuously monitors its fares, surcharges and operating costs and as a result has made an adjustment to these flight change/ name change and cancellation fees. The last increase to these fees was in mid-2014.

Will the increased flight change fee impact Groups?

Yes. The new fee levels will apply to Group Saver bookings made on/after 28 April 2017.

Will the increased flight change fees impact Qantas Business Rewards members?

Yes. The new change fee levels will apply for tickets issued to Qantas Business Rewards members on/after 28 April 2017 for the relevant fare classes.
