New Air Canada seasonal service

Air Canada will debut non-stop flights between Vancouver and Melbourne from 3 December. Starting as a season three-class service on B787 Dreamliner aircraft, the route is expected to become year-round from 3 June 2018.

 

New Holiday Inn for Melbourne

InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a new property in Western Melbourne. The 150-room Holiday Inn Melbourne Werribee is set to open in 2020. Located in the heart of Werribee's CBD, the hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, bar, fitness centre and parking as well as 300sqm of meeting and event space catering for up to 400 guests.

 

Marriott Editions expansion

Marriott International is expanding its portfolio of Edition Hotels. The hotel group has plans to open seven new properties in 2018, including The Abu Dhabi Edition, The Shanghai Edition, The Bangkok Edition, The Times Square Edition, The West Hollywood Edition, The Barcelona Edition and The Bodrum Edition.

 

Qantas LHR lounge

Qantas has officially opened its new lounge at London Heathrow Airport. Located in Terminal 3, the facility caters for up to 230 travellers. It aims to provide a comfortable space in which to relax prior to the carrier’s ultra-long haul flight between London and Perth, which launches on 24 March. As well as an a la carte dining service, the lounge offers hot and cold buffets, a ‘Quench’ hydration station, a gin bar, shower suites and business facilities including wi-fi and workstations. It is open daily from 8am to 8.30pm for passengers travelling in First and Business class as well as Qantas Platinum One, Platinum and Gold Qantas Frequent Flyers.

 

TFE expands in Germany

TFE Hotels has plans for three new Adina Apartment Hotels in Germany. The Adina Apartment Hotel Leipzig, which opened in November is located in the city’s old town offering 131 studio apartments and 35 larger apartments. The Adina Apartment Hotel Hamburg Speicherstadt will open in February next year featuring 202 studio, premier studio and one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments as well as a fitness centre, sauna and swimming pool. Meanwhile, the Adina Apartment Hotel Munich is set to open in 2019.

 

Hilton Phoenix rebrand

Hilton Worldwide has rebranded its Hilton Phoenix Suites property. Effective immediately the 242-suite property will be know as the Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix Downtown North. It is located near to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
