Karen Cooke has been appointed to the role of Global Marketing Leader for FCm Travel Solutions.
Karen will have a specific focus on the marketing output of FCm Travel Solutions, the flagship global business travel brand of parent company Flight Centre Limited (FCL). Karen will be working closely with FCm’s Global Brand Leader Gregory Lording and FCm’s international team of corporate marketers.
As global marketing leader Karen will be responsible for managing FCm’s worldwide marketing strategy, global level marketing, communication and public relations activity. She will also drive the ongoing development of FCm’s global website capabilities, marketing collateral and ensure FCm has strong involvement in peak industry forums and events.
Karen, who is based in FCm’s global headquarters in Brisbane, Australia, brings a wealth of travel marketing experience to the role having joined FCL in May 2004. One of the company’s longest serving marketing employees and marketing leaders, Karen has held a variety of positions in FCL’s marketing team.
Most recently Karen fulfilled the role of Marketing Manager for one of FCL’s leading Australian retail brands Escape Travel. During her career with FCL, Karen also spent time as marketing manager for luxury travel brand Travel Associates and prior to joining FCL she managed marketing activities for the small-to-mid-business market for a major Australian financial institution.
Karen said she was excited to be taking on a global role and moving into the corporate travel space.
